I am very pleased to let my readers know about a local business in my little hometown that offers special one-of-a-kind jewelry, hand-beaded serving utensils, collaging, tree ornaments and even creative writing and editing services! Hazy Days Creative Company is a "celebration of the imagination!" and founded by my sweet friend, Hannah."The word “company” was specifically chosen so that Hazy Days could encompass all things creative. Jewelry is one outlet for my creative energy, but my passion (and educational background) includes the written word. Additionally, I have over five years of experience as a college English instructor. Words, writing, literature…these are my keywords!"
Hazy Days newest line of jewelry is Printemps: A Collection for Little Girls. These are the sweetest little keepsakes that any girl would be honored to say is her own! They are all one-of-a-kind, just like the special girl in your life.
This collection is si
zed and designed for the younger set. Each piece is handcrafted with soft, lightweight beads in delicate colours. The inspiration comes from special occasions in the spring and summer: Easter Sunday, a summer wedding or a milestone in a young girl’s life, like preschool or Kindergarten graduation. This collection is available through Spring/Summer 2011 by special order. To see other beautiful items available, visit Hazy Days Creative Company online and browse the gallery of most recent collections:

Yay! I finally finished my first queen-size quilt! I'm so happy, but don't really know what I'll do with myself now that it's done... oh wait, I know! I'll start another project! LOL (or finish one of the 4 or 5 I've already started and stopped) I'd love to hear your opinions, and any tips and tricks you can give me for next time!!
This has truly been a labor of love. I started it not long after my future son-in-law was sworn in as a US Marine Recruit. He finishes boot camp in just 2 weeks, and I am SO proud of him! It will probably live here until he and my daughter get married and get a place of their own. She says she wants a Treasure Chest (aka Hope Chest LOL) and it'll probably go in there with their other homemaking goodies. This is his graduation gift...
2 weeks from today we will be at Parris Island to see him in the MOT Run and spend a few hours of Family Day with him. On November 24, he will graduate and be a MARINE! OoRAH!!!
It's crazy to think that we've already pass over Easter (hee, get it??) and now looking at Mother's Day in just a few weeks! I love to give personalized gifts, and this is a STEAL in my opinion: get a personalized photo mug for only $1.99! For that price, you can get one for ALL the grandparents and they'll have a special momento from your family to cherish - and use - for years to come.
I gave one to my daughter & son-in-law for Christmas and they LOVED it! We used a pic from a recent formal event that they had attended, so they both looked at their best (which, frankly, they are always gorgeous anyway!).
Check it out - except you, my Mom, don't ruin your surprise from my kids! ;)
