The American Way of Eating .... cheaper!

I just finished reading a book called The American Way of Eating: Undercover at Walmart, Applebee's, Farm Fields and the Dinner Table and I'm thinking more and more about WHAT I put into my body, and my family's. Most people think it costs more to eat healthier, but that is simply not true!I highly recommend this easy read if you want to learn more.

Shopping locally is always the best bet in the long run, for MANY reasons (the food is MUCH fresher, you're supporting local farmers, less dependence on fuel to transport food, getting organic for much less than big stores!).

But did you know that you can also find coupons for healthy products to use at your local grocer or health-food store online? Check out the latest organic and natural coupons and deals here:

Coupons and Freebies:

• FREE Twining Tea Samples (Organic Included)

• $0.55/1 Enjoy Life Product

• $1/ Jones Dairy Farm Sausage Product

• $1/1 Organic Mother’s Milk Tea

• $2/1 Galaxy Veggie Cream Cheese Alternative

• $0.75/3 Larabar, Uber, or Jocalat Bars

Cutting back on Sugar? You NEED this deal!

For my friends who are watching sugar intake but don't like artificial sweeteners (or if you do like them, but want something better):

Go here, sign up for your free account, and search for "NuStevia" ("NuNaturals uses the special, highly concentrated Stevia extract, NuStevia™ from which the bitterness of the extract has been removed. NuStevia™ is a natural plant extract.")

Even better: You get $10 off your first order! (check email after you sign up). This makes the 12oz canister only $4.12 + shipping $4.99 = $9.11 total. (go through ebates and get 4% cash back!)

Sound like a lot for sweetener? I got mine on 8/11 and have barely made a dent in it after using it every day, several times a day for different things! I only need 1/4 tsp for a big cup of coffee, 1/4cup for a gallon of sweet tea. And this is THE best tasting sweetener I've found - EVER. Absolutely no aftertaste and, dare I say, even better than real sugar in my opinion! I seriously love it so much I had to share. :)

Ebates has their Magazines.com special going on again!

Just use this link & get 52% cash back on every magazine order!

I love having magazines laying around the house for a quick read…

A quick little story which I’m sure you’ll find fascinating (haha!) – I returned to college at age 27 – with 3 kids under 6 years old at home. Needless to say, reading novels was not high on my priority list at the time having been a stay-at-home mom for awhile. I took my placement test and the Dean said I had “the highest score for reading” that he’d ever seen for my age group. He asked if I read a lot at home. I replied “Only if you count ‘Goodnight Moon’, Dr Seuss, & grabbing a magazine when I have a minute!”

He said that reading magazines daily, even for a few minutes, actually keeps your mind as sharp as reading War & Peace.

So what are you waiting for… get those brain cells crankin’!

These are GREAT for gifts for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family.

Get a little something for yourself, too!
